Simon Lukacs
Forged amid circumstances he cannot quite explain, Simon Lukacs, as is befitting a man of his humble demeanour, was left in a hessian sack on the doorstep of the Sir William Baringold Orphanage for Boys.
Considering he was, at the time, twenty three years of age, this was considered a most irregular practice. A noted raconteur but degenerate gambler, he spent part of his childhood raised by Wolves, before their relegation from the Association Football First Division left his schooling in the hands of their local rivals, West Bromwich Albion.
Simon studied clowning under Dr Brown and improv with David Shore.
As a writer, he has contributed to websites The Shame and iVillage and he co-wrote the short film “Bethlehem Booking Hotline” for ITN. Simon also runs Gits and Shiggles, the critically acclaimed London comedy night.
It is perhaps most pertinent to leave the final word to Lord Sir Julian Chappes himself, who captured the very essence of the man with the words, “Who is that grubby little man on the veranda”?
