As a second daughter, Rachel had the freedom to escape arranged matrimony and flee her ancestral home to pursue a life of passion and excitement in London Town.

 

 

She received training in music-hall entertainment and moving pictures at Drama Studio, which left her so jolly penniless that her one remaining wish is for an eligible bachelor to come and take her away from all this.
